Frequently Asked Questions:

  • Is this free to download?
    • Yep, these source files are available completely free. If you find them helpful and would like to support our work, you’re welcome to “pay what you like”, but doing so is entirely optional. All donations are greatly appreciated.
  • Can I use these files to make my own commercial game?
    • Absolutely! You're free to use these files for both personal use AND commercial. All we ask is that you give credit. These files are licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (see license information below).
  • Why are you giving this away for free?
    • Sharing is caring! We believe in the power of education and we’re passionate about helping as many people as possible learn how to make kick-ass games. Because this can only mean there will be more great games in the world for us all to enjoy. So why the heck not?
  • Why are you using Unreal Engine 5.3 instead of 5.4?
    • We created the course before the full UE5.4 version arrived. But if you want to use UE 5.4, these files are compatible and the workflow will be basically identical.
  • Why are the Unreal Engine project source files hosted on Google Drive, and not directly here on Gumroad?
    • Unfortunately, Gumroad has a file size limit for free products. Since the project files are quite large, we had to host them elsewhere.
